When it was time to move onto the next phase of his career he knew exactly what he wanted to do and that was to give back to young players like himself and hopefully see them off to College or Professional Football/Soccer.

Over the next 18 years Michael was a Director as well as HC of some of the Top Clubs In So. Cal finally settling in with the Strikers FC from 2014-2018.

In 2017 he brought the LA Wolves players into the New Club which was named Cal United Strikers FC as well as many of the Wolves players were also signed to the USL Championship side LV Lights where Eric Wynalda brought 9 players with him to the LV Club.  Michael brought the remaining 15 players with him to become the Nucleus of the NASL then NISA Side Cal United Strikers FC in 2018.

Michael was one of the Founders as well as the President and General Manager from 2017-2022 of Cal United Strikers FC having a Special Relationship with DOC and HC Don Ebert of Strikers FC they were able to place many players into Europe as well as other League, the MLS and USL.

Being from Long Island NY area and having a Nice Career, Michael was Named to the LI Soccer Hall of Fame in 2016!!

Talking often to a few Close Football/Soccer Experts and Friends the Idea to Start a European  League here in the US was something that was alway close to Michael’s heart so discussions turned into Solid Plans with one of his Close Colleagues, Peter Wilt and they started the Plan to build out a New League.

This is where they formed Open Soccer Alliance and were able to bring in 3 additional Football/Soccer Experts to Collaborate and Form OSA.

Michael’s Father Peter C Collins was the President of the LI Junior Soccer League for 28 years, some consider Peter one of the best at overseeing a League and guiding it to Incredible heights.  The LIJSL grew from 205 teams to 1500, it was said at one time he was asked by the famed Club Of the NASL, NY Cosmos to help with guiding their Youth Programs to get LI to their Games. Peter was committed to the youth and his friends who were helping to run one of the best Youth Leagues in the Country.

My Dream is to run our League like my father ran the LIJSL.    I am very hopeful that with the Group of people that we have assembled that we are on Our way to Something very Special with OSA.
